May 23, 2018 · Like Chromecast, Miracast also uses the peer-to-peer connection, meaning the mirroring can be done securely and without an Internet connection. Miracast hardware also supports HD and 4K streaming , we were able to play games and HD videos without any issues, even though the connection is wireless, there is no lag.
