Imac will not connect to internet

Hello I have an imac running os x v 10.5.8 2.4ghz Intel Core 2 2 gb memory it's on the same network as other systems but every now and then this system just not connect to the Internet but the network is up and I don't get any warning message on the mac I went into my network utility it's states I have an ip address and it's active but it will just spin and spin and no page will come up
